The Vexed and Relaxed cruise a place where guests, can kick back, relax, and unmask. But to board the 90-minute cruise, guests must show proof of vaccination for COVID-19. Yet, it’s meant to be a place where guests can kick back, relax, and unmask.

Vaxed and Relaxed Cruise: Relieving Anxiety

“In fact, we just wanted to kind of alleviate some of that anxiety. Moreover, it’s kind of building around vaccinations. I know, for sure, and I think a big one was who got the vaccine and who didn’t,” said Natalie Fox, Chief Brand Officer at iVaxed.

The Captain and Crew got the Shots

“People on board is got the shot. Also, they have temperature checks before they come on board. Moreover, the captain and crew all wear masks while running this charter event. We are also all vaccinated and temperature checked,” said Patrick Fee, Captain at Rowes Wharf Water Transport. In fact, the cruises are going to depart from the ferry terminal behind the Boston Harbor Hotel twice on Sundays through September. Sounds like a rip-roaring time sans the COVID-19 restrictions…

Booze Cruise with Entertainment – COVID-19 Style!

“You come on and grab some champagne off the champagne wall and partayy! It’s a booze cruise. There is entertainment as well. Drag queens and a DJ are on the cruise. Now, they will be performing at different times throughout the cruise,” said Fox.

Vaxed and Relaxed Cruise is Nice Respite

“So people are stuck inside socially distancing for a year in their houses, they now get to come out, next, take their masks off, get drinks, also hang out with their friends, they and dance and socialize,” said Fee.

The Boston-based startup iVaxed, came up with the idea, that was launching in January. iVaxed is partnering with Rowes Wharf Water Transport.

iVaxed Pin – Social “Signaling” Concept

“Moreover, we developed a little pin, the iVaxed pin. It’s all heart of gold that shows that you have a heart of gold. Also, it’s a subtle way of gesturing towards others that you got the vaccination. Subtle, right! Thus “supposedly” easing that social anxiety that comes with the vaccinations,” said Fox.

“I’m really looking forward to people relaxing a little bit, then coming out on the boats to enjoy their summer and then slowly get back into the new normal (oh boy!) and a fun time,” said Fee. Whatever that all looks like…
